As a club owner, husband and father of three, Tom Greider is an extremely busy USPTA Pro 1. Tom is the owner of Willow Creek Tennis & Sports Center and the director of tennis at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.
He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and was a member of the tennis team for four years.
In 1998, Tom was ranked No. 1 in the Pacific Northwest Division's men's 35 singles. He was also named USPTA Pacific Northwest Division Coach of the Year in 1987.
He was the University of Oregon women's tennis coach fromm 1988 to 1994 and the South Eugene High School Tennis Coach from 1982 to 1988.
"I enjoy watching players learn to play and enjoy tennis as a healthy, lifetime activity," Tom says.
It is the diversity that Tom enjoys most about the tennis profession. As an owner he performs a multitude of tasks, including teaching 20 hours a week, working with computers, maintaining a club Web site, billing membership, club maintenance and supervising a staff of 17.
